When it comes to looking for a new driveway if it sometimes difficult to differentiate what driveway is best suited for you.  I have put together some of the different driveway paving options or ideas;

Asphalt paving-Your typical driveway solution.  This is a fast approach to creating a driveway, can be completed in very little time.  Some benefits are not slippery, melts easily on warm days. The downfalls of asphalt are that it does not have expansion joints and will crack or easily settle creating potential potholes.   Typically start seeing cracks the first year.  I've found asphalt paving costs starts anywhere from $500+.

Interlocking stone or pavers- Skilfull driveway solution.  This is a much slower approach to have a driveway created.  The timeline for install can be much greater than asphalt .  The benefits that I have found with interlocking pavers,  is the unlimited amount of interlock patterns available.  The downfall with interlock is the innate ability to stay flat throughout the seasons.  Similar to asphalt the interlocking can create potential potholes.  To have the driveway re-flattened can cost almost the same as initial install.  Weeds is another issue with interlocking pavers.  Being a concrete contractor I still do like the "look" of interlocking pavers.  I've found interlocking pavers cost can starts anywhere from $16/sq.ft+

Concrete driveways-Unique durable driveway solution.  A concrete driveway can be installed in many different finishes.  The most durable solution for a concrete driveway is exposed aggregate concrete.  This is virtually a pebble stone surface.  1000's of stones exposed to the elements.  The down fall with concrete is that it will crack,  concrete will crack after approximately 30 hours after install.  The trick of the trade is to cut the concrete before than 30hours.  If the concrete is cut for expansion,  this reduces any further cracking anywhere else.  Being a concrete contractor our exposed aggregate driveway cost starts at $15/sq.ft

We service the following cities;  Kitchener-Waterloo,  Cambridge, Guelph, Brantford, Woodstock area surrounding areas.
