With so many concrete finishes on the market, it is difficult to know what type of pattern to choose for your project. Let's start with functional, the key and most important decision to make when choosing a pattern. From my experience the most functional concrete pattern is seamless slate or Sierra stone. This type of concrete texture is ideal for adding great curb appeal to your concrete driveway, entrance sidewalk. This is functional pattern because the texture is shallow, allowing for this pattern to be stamped later. When concrete is stamped later the overall surface is harder.
Stamped concrete as a driveway isn't for every landscape, some driveways shouldn't have a stamped concrete driveway. A driveway shouldn't have the entire surface area stamped also. A combination of exposed aggregate concrete with seamless slate bordering the perimeter area in good proportion will serve for a great entrance appearance.
